The Tomball Independent School District encompasses 83 square miles in Northwest Harris County and Southwest Montgomery County and is located approximately 30 miles from downtown Houston.

The last bond program put in front of the voters was in May 2013. The $160 million bond passed and provided the funding for four new schools and security and technology initiatives. Three new schools of Wildwood Elementary, Oakcrest Intermediate, and Creekview Elemenatry all opened their doors for the first time for the 2015-2016 school year. Creekside Park Junior High School is scheduled to open in August 2016.
