The holidays are upon us once again and just like every year they will go by in the blink of an eye. So get out your calendar and schedule time to spend with your family picking out the perfect tree, viewing holiday light displays, attending theater performances, going ice skating, getting a picture taken with Santa, and most importantly creating memories.
Pick out the perfect tree:
Old Time Christmas Tree Farm – Catch a ride on a wagon out to the fields where the search will take place for the perfect tree. Saws are provided for you to do the cutting. The tree farm will wrap your tree for transport. The Old Time Christmas Tree Farm located at 7632 Spring Cypress Spring Texas 77379. They are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm beginning November 27th.
View holiday light displays:
33rd Annual Lighting of the Doves and iWOW – Kick off the holiday season on November 21st at Town Green Park from 3 pm to 9 pm. Enjoy live music, ice carvers, the arrival of Santa, and a fireworks display. FREE event.
Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland – Located at the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive, the illuminated holiday scenes are FREE to view and open daily from dusk until 11 pm from November 21st – January 08, 2016.
Nite of Lites – Prestonwood Forest continues its long standing tradition, Nite of Lites festival. Almost every home in the Prestonwood Forest subdivision of 750 homes gets involved in the festival. The 2015 Nite of Lites begins on December 5th and continues through December 27th. The lights are on Monday – Thursday 6 pm to 10 pm and Friday – Sunday 6 pm to 11 pm. The subdivision of Prestonwood Forest is located just South of Cypresswood about 2 miles East of HWY 249.
Attend music and theatre performances:
The Kingston Trio will be performing songs from their Christmas album, The Last Month of the Year. The performance will take place at the Centrum at 6823 Cypresswood Spring TX on November 28th at 8 pm. Ticket prices range from $35 to $65.
Inspecting Carol presented by the Texas Repertory Theatre is a behind the scenes comedy of a struggling theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol. Opening night is December 2nd with performances continuing through December 23rd. Ticket prices are $38 plus a service fee.
Holly Jolly Jingle – FREE event sponsored by Woodforest National Bank at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Performances of holiday classics and popular favorites begins at 7 pm on December 3rd, 2015.
Go ice skating:
Ice Rink at the Woodlands Town Center – located at the Northeast corner of Six Pines & Lake Robbins Drive. The Ice Rink is open daily beginning Saturday, November 21st – Monday, January 18, 2016. A special preview weekend is being held November 14th and 15th.
Get a picture taken with Santa:
Willowbrook Mall – Get your list together to share with Santa in the JC Penney Court starting November 7th until December 24th.
Woodlands Mall – Santa is ready to hear your wish list and get his picture taken with you. You can find in the Macy’s Court starting November 7 until December 24th. Get a photo of your pets taken with Santa on Monday evenings from 6 to 9 pm beginning November 16th.
Old Town Spring – Beginning on Saturday, November 7th and continuing through December 20th, Santa and Mrs. Claus are available for pictures every Saturday and Sunday in Santa’s workshop on Main Street.
